Message from the Chairman
Hi everyone,
After a wonderful U13 schools tournament last weekend, we’re looking forward to another fantastic weekend of water polo at Eco League! 🩷🤽♂️
Ahead of the tournament, I want to remind our players, coaches and parents what Eco League is all about.
We draft players into teams to create balanced sides, with strength against strength, giving everyone competitive games and a chance to challenge themselves. But at the heart of it is one simple commitment: every player gets equal game time, regardless of ability or experience.
You’ll have provincial players alongside players who are still learning the game. Everyone deserves the opportunity to get into the pool, contribute and grow in confidence. That’s how players develop—and that’s why participation matters so much.
To our more experienced players: this is your opportunity to lead. Encourage your teammates, involve them in the game and help them improve. Being a good player also means making the players around you better.
To those still finding their feet: you belong here just as much as anyone else. Ask questions, give it your best and don’t be afraid to make mistakes. Your contribution matters.
To our coaches: please embrace that spirit. Give every player equal time, work with those who need extra guidance and help your players become a team. The real achievement is getting everyone working together and leaving the tournament better than they arrived.
Together, we are stronger than we are as individuals.
With all our NMB provincial players in these age groups entered, the standard should be high. It’s excellent preparation for IPT and a wonderful opportunity for developing players to experience that level of competition.
We’ll have the big screen, live and slow-motion replays, and YouTube streaming, so family and loved ones who can’t be there can still follow the action.
Please come down to Eco Pool and support our U13–U15 players, even if you can only join us for part of the weekend. Bring the family, enjoy the atmosphere and help us make it fun, competitive and memorable for every player.
Unfortunately, I’m flying to the USA on Friday afternoon, so I’ll be cheering you on from the aeroplane! ✈️
Play hard, look after one another and enjoy every moment.
NMB WATER POLO – RESPECT. RESPONSIBILITY. PRIDE.
